On Tuesday, the Perry Jayettes played host to the Nevada Cubs in Heart of Iowa conference action and after a long, hard fought battle, Nevada pulled away with the victory 46-40.

Although the Perry offense had a strong start with a big three pointer by Addison Perks to start the first, Perry was always just a step behind Nevada, down 12-9 after the first quarter and 27-21 going into halftime. Lily Myers and the Jayettes refused to quit coming back from the break, with Myers ending the night with 18 points with Kate Schuttler behind her with 9. Perry rallied in the fourth, but still fell short in the end 46-40.

Now 4-14 overall and 2-12 in conference play, the Jayettes return to action on Friday on the road, traveling to South Hamilton High School to face off against the Hawks. Conference basketball is set to begin at 6pm.
