The Raccoon River Northwest Wrestling Team, who Adel-DeSoto-Minburn partners with, will be bringing 11 individuals to the 2026 Iowa Girls State Wrestling Tournament, happening tomorrow and Friday in Coralville.

RRNW participated in the Class 2A Region 5 State Qualifying Meet in Ottumwa this past Friday, as 11 girls either placed first or second to earn a trip to the state meet. Those girls include Bella Bruins, Izzy Duncan, Addison McGinness, Calista Rodish, Kadyn Tierney, Natalie Keller, Bethann Templeman, Cassidy McCallister, Mya Van Beek, Ellie Hancock, and Katie Biscoglia.

RRNW took home the team state title last year as they prepare to defend it this time around. Individually, Biscoglia won her third individual title for the 105 pound category in the 2024-25 season. She’ll attempt for title number four this year.

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union’s State Wrestling Tournament is taking place tomorrow and Friday from Xtream Arena in Coralville. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry live coverage of the action across the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network on KDLS, KKRF, and KGRA.
