The West Central Valley Girls Bowling Team participated in the Class 1A Regionals in Adel on Monday, placing third overall, and senior Kayla Bartholomew qualified for the state tournament in the adaptive division.

The Wildcats accumulated a total of 1727 points, notching third place behind Nevada and Clarke Community. Individually, senior Bailey Dickson bowled a three game series of 422, which put her in sixth place out of 40 athletes, and just outside the top-four for the state tournament. However, senior Kayla Bartholomew qualified for state on January 27th in the triangular versus Madrid and Southeast Warren, shooting scores of 63, 44, and 40 during that competition.

Bartholomew will take part in the Iowa Girls State Bowling Tournament for the Adaptive Division this coming Tuesday, February 10th at 9am at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo.
