The 2026 Girls Wrestling State Tournament is finally here and three Jayettes wrestlers have made the journey to the Xtreme Arena in Coralville looking for glory. The three Jayettes attending the state tournament include: juniors Amelie Canales and Ayden Erickson, and senior Cate Erickson.

Both Erickson sisters return to the state tournament and bring Amelie Canales along after Canales just fell short for the last two years in the state qualifying meet. Cate Erickson looks to reach the podium this year, while Ayden and Canales look to leave everything on the mat and give the tournament their all.

The action for Class 2A is set to begin at 4:30pm, with the quarterfinals, first and second consolation rounds scheduled for today at the Xtreme Arena in Coralville. Coverage from the state tournament will be live on the Raccoon Valley Radio Network.
