The Raccoon River Northwest Wrestling Team, who Adel-DeSoto-Minburn partners with, took 11 individuals to the Iowa Girls State Tournament on Thursday in Coralville, as eight advanced to the next round today.

Of the 11 girls, Addison McGinness (115 lbs.), Calista Rodish (140 lbs.), Cassidy McCallister (105 lbs.), Ellie Hancock (125 lbs.), Katie Biscoglia (110 lbs.), and Natalie Keller (145 lbs.) all will be competing in the semifinals today, while Bella Bruins (155 lbs.) and Izzy Duncan (130 lbs.) are participating in the consolation bracket.

Three RRNW girls lost two matches to end their season, including Bethann Templeman (135 lbs.), Kadyn Tierney (190 lbs.), and Mya Van Beek (100 lbs.).

The 8 RRNW Wrestlers will battle in today’s last round of competition from Xtream Arena in Coralville, as Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the live broadcast on KDLS, KGRA, and KKRF, starting at 9am.
