The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball Teams will hit the road over to Gilbert in preparation for a Raccoon River Conference matchup tonight.

The Tigers teams are coming off impressive victories against Indianola on Tuesday, with the girls winning 56-26, and the boys came out on top at 79-33. In the girls contest, ADM sophomore Ella Subbert, junior Alexis Maxwell, and sophomore Aubrey Noring combined for 31 of the team’s 56 points. Subbert achieved a double-double by grabbing 11 rebounds. The Tigers have won their previous five games overall, and also have taken the last two contests versus Gilbert.

On the boys side, ADM is now 15-2 on the season after beating the Indians 79-33. Tiger seniors Hudson Shull and Hudson Lorensen tallied 20 points each, as ADM also finished 6-6 from the free throw line. Gilbert had their six game winning streak snapped, suffering a 82-46 loss to Ballard. Sophomore Matthew Ochalla is averaging 16 points per game on 45 percent shooting from the floor, and ADM senior Hudson Lorensen is sitting at approximately 22 points per contest on 52 percent shooting from the field.

Tonight’s doubleheader will take place from Gilbert High School, as the girls get rolling at 6pm, followed by the boys at 7:30pm.
