
Greene County had its boys’ bowling team in the Denison-Schleswig Baker Tournament on Thursday at Lucky Lanes In Denison. Coach John Woodford’s team finished fourth among 10 teams with a score of 2,851 pins. The winning total was 3,200 from the host Monarchs. Council Bluffs Lewis Central had 3,158 with Clarinda at 3,155, just four pins ahead of the Rams.
The Baker Tournament format uses five bowlers for two frames each. The lead off bowler rolled frames one and six with the second bowler taking the second and second and seventh frames, and so on. There are no individual scores in the Baker format.
The Rams are done until Feb. 16 when they go to Perfect Games at Ames for the Heart of the Raccoon Conference Tournament.
