The AC/GC Chargers faced off against the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders, and fell 60-45 in the girls game, and 74-40 in the boys game.

 

The Chargers girls were outscored 23-7 in the first quarter, but outscored the Crusaders 14-8 in the second to go into halftime down 31-21. They were then again outscored 17-5 in the third quarter, but outscored the Crusaders 19-12 in the fourth to finish the game with the 60-45 loss. Senior Camdyn Richter led the way in scoring , with junior Meranda Gruber not far behind.

 

The Chargers boys held the Class 1A 6th Ranked Crusaders close in the first, trailing them 14-8, but were outscored 25-9 in the second to go into halftime trailing 39-17. They were again outscored in the third quarter 25-11, but outscored the Crusaders 12-10 in the final quarter to finish the game with the 74-40 loss. Senior Joe Crawford led the way in points for the Chargers, with junior Preston Kent the next one up.

 

The Chargers return to action tonight as they host the Pleasantville Trojans in conference action. The girls game is set to tipoff at 6pm, with the boys game to follow. The games will be broadcast live on the KKRF2 online live stream and free KKRF2 mobile app.
