
The Panorama Basketball Teams will be in action tonight, welcoming Des Moines Christian into Panora for a West Central Conference game.
The Panthers took losses their last time out on Tuesday in Woodward, with the girls falling 60-45, while the boys were defeated 61-43. Panorama girls are sitting at 6-13 on the year with wins over West Central Valley, Interstate 35, Ogden, Van Meter, and Madrid. Des Moines Christian has come out on top in the past three girls games, including a 65-35 victory last year. The Lions are ranked number two in Class 2A with a 17-2 record.
On the boys side, the Panthers have a record of 1-18, with the lone win versus Nodaway Valley on January 15th. Panorama junior Cruz Crandall is averaging close to 16 points on 38 percent shooting from the floor and 77 percent from the free throw line, as Des Moines Christian senior Max Town is sitting at approximately 21 points per contest on 53 percent from the field and 78 percent from the charity strike. The Lion boys are 11-5 on the season, coming off a 69-68 loss to Van Meter on Tuesday.
Tonight’s double header action will be held from Panorama High School in Panora, as the girls begin at 6pm, followed by the boys at 7:30pm.
