The Stuart Police Department Community Programs is getting ready for warmer weather.
Stuart Police Sergeant Katie Guisinger says that with the winter programs now done, it’s time to look at what’s coming up. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio what she’s been working on.
“I have already scheduled my dates for my summer programs in June. So I’ve got those kind of penciled in and we’ll kind of be working from there to get those moving. I just kind of confirmed the date for our bike rodeo. So that will be happening the first Saturday in May at the Stuart Public Library again.”
Guisinger mentions that the summer programs include four days with different themed events, like learning about land and water life at Springbrook State Park, going to the Blank Zoo in Des Moines, or getting to watch an Iowa Cubs game.
