The Mustangs basketball program swept the Indians at home last night to give the seniors a present as they were honored on senior night.

The girls caught fire right away, making eight first-half threes to jump out to an 11-point lead at the break. In the second half, it was more of the same, and the scoring barrage continued for DCG. Macy Meyer led all scorers with 20 points, and she knocked down six triples on the night as the Mustangs charged to a 65-50 win over Indianola.

The boys picked up right where the girls left off. Chase Perrin had the hot hand in this one as he drilled two from downtown to give DCG an early lead. The Indians came alive after a slow start, but Perrin continued to shoot it lights out and went into halftime with 15 points. In the second half, he could not miss. He had five points in the third quarter, then 13 to close out Indianola and finish with a career high 33 points on 9/12 from beyond the arc. As a team, the Mustangs hit 14 from outside to beat Indianola 69-59.

With the win, the girls go to 17-2(9-1) and the boys elevate their record to 9-7(5-4). The boys are in action again this afternoon as they host #7 Council Bluffs-Lincoln.
