The Panorama Girls Basketball Team was in action on Friday, welcoming second-ranked Des Moines Christian for Class 2A into Panora, falling 69-41, behind great individual performances by freshmen Ines Gimeno-Perez and senior Morgan Crees.

The Lions jumped on the Panthers early, leading 28-14 after the first quarter. In the second quarter, Panorama scored 10 points, but trailed 37-24 at the halftime break. Des Moines Christian used a huge third quarter with 24 points, holding the Panthers to just 10, putting some distance at 61-34, then rolled to a 69-41 victory.

In the loss, freshman Ines Gimeno-Perez tallied 14 points to lead Panorama, and senior Morgan Crees contributed with 13. The Lions improve to 18-3 on the year, as the Panthers drop to 6-14 overall. Des Moines Christian will host Earlham on Tuesday, and Panorama will travel to Ogden Tuesday for a matchup against the Bulldogs.
