
A road trip to Woodbine on Friday night resulted in two losses for the Paton-Churdan varsity basketball teams. The girls final was 67-32 and the boys’ game ended 60-46.
Four P-C girls scored points for Coach Tom Kennedy’s team including 12 from junior Alivya Smith with eight from junior Edynn Smith with seven by junior Kaliyah Minnihan, and five from freshman Chloe Happe. The Rockets fell to 3-17.
The P-C boys fell to 7-14 and were led in scoring by Trevon Keely with 15 points and 13 from Donovan Martin. Phoenix Hartman scored 10 points. Martin was the unofficial rebound leader with seven boards and Blaise Schilling had five. Hartman added two steals. The Rockets were down 31-16 at halftime. Landon Blum of Woodbine led all players with 24 points.
