The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball Teams were on the road in Gilbert on Friday, taking down the Tigers, as the girls won 37-32, and the boys were victorious 76-58.

In the girls contest, ADM blanked Gilbert to lead 7-0 after the first quarter. In the second, Gilbert’s offense was able to come alive with seven points, but nine for ADM would have them on top 16-7 at halftime. The third quarter was identical in scoring between both teams, seeing ADM lead 28-18. Gilbert outscored ADM 14-9 in the final frame, as it would only trim the gap, but not able to win, as ADM was victorious 37-32.

Leading the way for ADM was junior Alexis Maxwell, who had 10 points, followed by sophomore Aubrey Noring with 8. Gilbert falls to 9-11 on the season (6-8 inside the Raccoon River Conference), while ADM improves to 13-6 overall (11-3 RRC).

On the boys side, there were 35 combined points scored in the first quarter, as ADM led slightly 20-15. ADM won the second quarter 12-8 to take a 32-23 advantage into the halftime locker room. Each team won over 20 points in the third quarter, with ADM holding a 58-45, then would cruise to a 76-58 win.

The Tigers were charged by senior Trey Bryte who captured 33 points, then it was senior Hudson Lorensen contributing with 18, and senior Hudson Shull notched 14 points. Gilbert now drops to 11-7 on the year (8-6 RRC), and ADM climbs to 16-2 overall (12-2 RRC). Gilbert will hit the road to Bondurant-Farrar on Tuesday, and ADM will host Boone on Tuesday in Adel.
