The AC/GC Chargers took care of business during their senior night on Friday, with a 54-42 victory for the girls team, and a 73-70 win for the boys against the Pleasantville Trojans.

In the girls game, the Chargers outscored the Trojans 23-11 in the first quarter, and 11-10 in the second to go up 34-21 at halftime. In the third quarter, AC/GC outscored Pleasantville 10-9 to go up 44-30, but were outscored in the fourth quarter 12-10, but the Chargers pulled out the 54-42 victory. In recognition of senior night, all four seniors; Camdyn Richter, Becca Littler, Karli Kautzky and Savannah Akers were recognized as the Crafty’s Coffee and Gifts Players of the Game.

For the boys game, the Chargers trailed 22-19 at the end of the first quarter, and were outscored 14-13 in the second to go into halftime trailing 36-32. Things turned around in the second half, and AC/GC outscored Pleasantville 25-14 in the third to take a 57-50 lead, but were once again outscored in the final quarter 20-16, and came away with the 73-70 victory. Senior Joe Crawford had the Dub P Apparel Elite Fit Play of the game, with a steal on an inbounds pass in the last 11 seconds, and was fouled to take yet another trip to the charity stripe, where he made both shots and put the team up by six, helping to secure the victory. Once again, the seniors; Joe Crawford, Tommy Skram and Blaize Dorsey, were the Crafty’s Coffee and Gifts Players of the Game.
