DCG girls wrestling had four girls qualify to wrestle at the state tournament at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa this past week, but came up short facing off against the best competition in the state.

Nia Kiley wrestled in the 105 and won her first match by an 8-6 decision to reach the quarterfinals where she was beaten 8-0 in a major decision to Kambree Westendorf of Waverly-Shell Rock. Kiley ends her 2025-26 season with a 33-15 record.

Similar to her teammate, Jenah Gray won her first match in the 145 via fall in 3:34, but fell in the quarterfinals to Natalie Keller of Raccoon River Wrestling by fall in 2:44. Gray ends the season 38-10.

In the 155, Ashtyn Jahangir dropped the first match, but came back and won her elimination match by fall. In her third bout, she fell to Bella Bruins of RRW in a tight 1-0 decision. Gray ends the year 32-9.

Finally for DCG, Aubrey Borcherding dropped her first opponent by fall, but lost her next tilt to wrestle in an elimination match where she lost a close contest by fall in 5:10. Borcherding finishes the campaign 35-12.

The Mustangs scored 12 team points at the tournament to put them at 44th overall. Congratulations to all the Dallas Center-Grimes girls wrestlers on a great season!
