The Stuart Police Department recently announced an arrest from a robbery investigation Wednesday night in Stuart.
According to Police Chief Dave Reha, officers, along with the Adair and Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the alleged incident at Subway in Stuart a few minutes after being notified at 9:13pm. Chief Reha says the worker gave a description of the suspect and his vehicle, and roughly 20 minutes later a vehicle matching the description was stopped in rural Dallas County on Interstate 80 by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
Reha states that Stuart Police Officers reported and a probable cause search was conducted. He explains that the search yielded evidence tying the driver to the robbery, as well as money consistent with what was taken in the crime. Reha says as a result of the investigation, 33 year old Kevin Krouse Jr of West Des Moines was arrested and charged with second degree robbery, a Class C Felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. He was then transported and booked into the Adair County Jail.
Reha thanks all of the assisting law enforcement agencies for their help with the ongoing case and for the employee’s courage to give critical information that led to the eventual arrest. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring more information as it becomes official.
