Adel-DeSoto-Minburn senior Elise Coghlan is gearing up for the upcoming track and field season, and is ranked among the top for Class 3A.

During the state track and field meet last year, Coghlan finished second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.55 seconds behind Tiger teammate Josi Dufoe, who ran 14.50 seconds. According to Iowa Track and Field, Coghlan is ranked third fastest in the 100 meter hurdles, as Waukee’s Jana Maharry and West Des Moines Valley’s Morgan Karr sit in front of her.

Coghlan has already committed to the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls following graduation in the spring. She also won two state championships with ADM during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The first meet for the Tigers will be the Dickinson Relays on March 10th from the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
