Shops in Adel and Dallas Center are gearing up for Valentine’s Day with events featuring pop-up vendors.

Azalea Lane Boutique in Adel will host a Galentine’s Day event from 5-7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Owner Kristi Anderson says Adel Flowers & Gifts, located next door, will have a build-your-own bouquet bar and chair massages will be provided by HealthSource of Clive. She adds that attendees will also enjoy chocolate martinis and chocolate-covered strawberries. 

Anderson details that she has hosted a Galentine’s event for her customers since Azalea Lane opened seven years ago.

“It’s just a way for us to take care of all of our customers. It’s a way for us to pamper them. Not everybody has a significant other that is going to do something for them on Valentine’s Day, so we just wanted to have a good time to get together with your girlfriends to have a little girls night out and get pampered a little bit.”

Walnut St. Flowers in Dallas Center will also host vendors on Friday and Saturday for a one-stop shop for Valentine’s Day. Residents can stop into the shop for flowers by owner Kati Meyers, sweet treats from Blissful Bites Bakehouse by Kelsey, dirty sodas from Sips – Dirty Drinks by Kayla and candles created by Dallas Center’s Kyra Blecker.

Real Deals – Adel will host a Valentine’s Day Party on Saturday. Attendees can create their own candle with Xperience Candles and bracelets with AlexaLyn Designs while sampling jams, sauces and seasonings by Finch & Fennel.
