The Jefferson City Council will meet in regular session tonight.
The meeting will begin with a public hearing to amend an ordinance to allow for public hunting on 20 acres within city limits that is currently owned by a resident. The Council may then proceed drafting the amendment for a first reading at a future meeting. The Council will then consider for approval a resolution to extend the current 28E agreement with Greene County for recycling, set the public hearing for the proposed property tax levy, and a tentative agreement with the police officer’s union.
Additionally, they will also consider an engagement letter with the State Auditor’s Office concerning the former Utility Billing Clerk and the quarterly funding request for Greene County Development Corporation.
The meeting will take place in-person and remotely at 5:30pm in the City Hall Council Chambers. To access the meeting remotely, click here. Raccoon Valley Radio will have a recap of tonight’s meeting tomorrow.
