
Junior Chase Fecher of the Greene County High School boys’ bowling team rolled the high three game series and earned first team All-Conference honors on Monday at the first ever Heart of the Raccoon Conference Boys Tournament held Monday in Ames at Perfect Games. Fecher had a 683 series and edged Cole Darling of ADM by nine pins. Sophomore Jared Dawson rolled a 612 series, placing ninth. Junior Jacob Rumley had a 579 series and was 17th and junior Damein Hull had a 543 series. Senior Teagan Chisholm was at 515 and junior Calvin Fields 504.
The Rams totaled 2,833 pins on the day, good for third place. ADM won with 2,851 and Gilbert was second at 2,834 in a very tight team race. Bondurant-Farrar was fourth at 2,820, followed by Ballard (Huxley) 2,690, Carroll 2,637, and Nevada 2,485.
Coach John Woodford told Raccoon Valley Radio Fecher was first team All-Conference with Chisholm and Rumley both second team All-Conference. Dawson was honorable mention, as was senior Trenton Lee, who graduated early and is going into the U.S. Navy.
The Rams are off until Monday, Feb. 16 when they go to Starline Lanes in Carroll for a Class 1A State Qualifying Meet.
