The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball Teams will have a home game in Adel tonight versus Boone, honoring the seniors from the girls and boys squads.
The Tigers are coming off wins against Gilbert on Friday, with the girls winning 37-32 and the boys were victorious at 76-58. The ADM Girls are headlined by three seniors Brecken Morse, Ellis Smith, and Lauren Hagedorn. On the boys side, the Tigers have six seniors featuring Hudson Lorensen, Hudson Shull, Trey Bryte, Hayden Dohlman, Reece Strittmatter, and Joshua Randol. ADM Head Coach Trevor Mickelson emphasizes that each of them contribute in different ways.
“They’ve lifted the program to a place that hopefully they’re really proud of where it’s at. It’s been one of the best three-year stretches that the program’s ever had, and that’s all credit to these guys, and their former teammates that played the last few years. It’s been a phenomenal group and they’ve all had different bouts of adversity that they’ve had to overcome, and hopefully they feel like they’re leaving the program in a better place than they found it.”
The Tiger girls are sitting at 13-6 on the season, and the ADM boys have a 16-2 overall record. The games versus the Toreadors will be held at ADM’s North Gym in Adel tonight, with the girls beginning at 6pm, followed by the boys at 7:30pm.
