
The West Central Valley Girls Basketball Team had a lone non-conference game on Monday in Stuart versus Baxter, falling 45-40.
The first quarter was back and forth, seeing the Wildcats leading the Bolts 16-14. West Central Valley won the second quarter, as they took a 25-20 advantage into halftime. Baxter crawled back into the contest in the third quarter, trailing 34-33 entering the fourth. In the final frame, the Bolts outscored the Wildcats 12-6 to go on to take the win at 45-40.
With the loss, West Central Valley drops to 7-14 on the season, as Baxter improves to 15-6 overall. The Wildcats will have another home game in Stuart tonight, taking on conference opponent Woodward-Granger, beginning at 6pm with the boys contest to follow.
