Greene County Activities Director Dave Wright notified Raccoon Valley Radio that the scheduled wrestling triangular scheduled for tonight in Webster City has been cancelled and won’t be made up. The meet was originally to have the Lynx host Greene County and Woodward-Granger. Coach Zach Beekman told Raccoon Valley Radio W-G pulled out and Webster City wasn’t able to find a replacement team.

The Rams and other teams have been fighting illness and injuries and with District tournaments this Saturday the 14th, the focus is on trying to have healthy athletes on Saturday. Greene County travels northwest to Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School for a 10 a.m. start on Saturday at a Class 2A District. Wrestlers finishing first and second in each weight class at each District advance to the State Tournament next week in Des Moines.
