Although the Perry Bluejays fell to Grand View Christian Thunder 66-40 during senior night on Tuesday and the Bluejays final home game of the regular season, senior Jose Ortega hit a buzzer beat three to end the game.

To honor senior night, the Bluejays started: Gustavo Drahos, Jacobo Cerna-Gomez, Nile McClintock and Carlos Martinez. The remaining seniors: Gavin Gamble, Jose Ortega, and Jean Puente. Drahos, lead the charge for the Bluejays with 14 points and battled until the end, with Jose Ortega checking in off the bench in the final moments, hitting a buzzer beat three to put Perry to 40 points in the 66-40 loss to the Thunder.

The Bluejays wrap up the week on the road on Friday, traveling to South Tama High School to face off against the Trojans. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
