The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Basketball Teams hosted Boone on Tuesday in Adel for Senior Night, as the Tiger girls won 54-12, and the boys were victorious at 73-41.

In the girls contest, ADM was playing without both sophomore Ella Subbert and junior Grace Montag, who were out with sicknesses. The three seniors Brecken Morse, Ellis Smith, and Lauren Hagedorn were honored. The Tigers got off to a nice start, leading 14-6 after one quarter. In the second quarter, ADM held Boone to two points on its way to a 22-8 halftime advantage. The second half was all Tigers, as they outscored the Toreadors 32-4 to coast to a 54-12 victory, and their seventh straight game.

Smith led all scores with 12 for ADM, followed by 9 points each by junior Bella Spreacker and sophomore Aubrey Noring. Boone freshman Whitney Chesnut was the high player with five points. The Toreadors fall to 5-15 on the season (2-13 inside the Raccoon River Conference), as the Tigers improve to 14-6 overall (12-3 RRC).

On the boys side, the Tigers recognized six seniors Hudson Lorensen, Hudson Shull, Trey Bryte, Hayden Dohlman, Reece Strittmatter, and Joshua Randol. All seniors aside from Randol started the contest. The first quarter saw ADM roar out to 26 points, holding Boone to 9. The offenses remained hot in the second quarter, as the Tigers climbed to a 42-21 halftime advantage. The Tigers outscored the Toreadors 31-20 in the second half to race to a 73-41 win.

All six ADM seniors scored with Lorensen in front with 22 points, then it was Dohlman contributing with 16, Shull had 13, Bryte with 11 points, Strittmatter added 3, and Randol hit a 2-point basket towards the end of the game.

The Toreadors drop to 4-15 on the year (1-14 RRC), and the Tigers get to 17-2 overall (13-2 RRC). Boone will face North Polk in Alleman on Friday, as ADM travels to Carlisle Friday.
