West Central Valley senior Kayla Bartholomew made it to the state bowling tournament in Waterloo for the second consecutive year in the Adaptive Division, where she stamped her high school career with a second place finish.

Bartholomew competed at Cadillac XBC on Tuesday, where she bowled scores of 62, 59, and 52 in the three games to mark her second, behind Waverly-Shell Rock’s Paetra Sauer. Bartholomew reveals the aspect she’s learned about herself through bowling.

“I like to help other people out in general, and this is one way to show my sportsmanship and this is a good opportunity to socialize with other people.”

Bartholomew was the lone representative from the Wildcats to advance to the state bowling tournament, after senior Bailey Dickson finished sixth at the state qualifying meet, just a few spots out.
