The Panorama School Board met in regular session Monday night.

Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that the Board heard several things in their good news segment first. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the district’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) class got to have some fun learning about technology.

“They’re digging into drone curriculum and kids are flying drones. And there was a STEM program through the STEM Scale-Up grant in Iowa. And it’s basically, kids get introduced to several career paths that utilize drone technology.”

Huebner mentions that the Board approved a proposal for repairs to the elementary school building roof, an elementary English language learners curriculum purchase, and set a public hearing for their March meeting. He adds that they also approved the second reading of the artificial intelligence policy, along with regulations R1-4 for the policy.
