A vehicle-related incident in Redfield Thursday results in two people being charged.
According to court documents, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident where the driver of a 2005 Dodge Ram truck, Dennis Chinberg of Stuart, was backing up in a Casey’s General Store parking lot in Redfield on Thursday just after 4pm, when the vehicle struck a parked vehicle. The crash report shows that the parked vehicle sustained $1,500 of damage, and Chinberg’s vehicle had $100 of damage. Chinberg was cited for no insurance.
Court documents show that during the investigation, Chinberg was found to have methamphetamine on his person and was additionally charged with a serious misdemeanor for his first offense for possession of methamphetamine. Court documents state that law enforcement spoke to Chinberg’s passenger, 57-year-old Glenn Rocholz of Council Bluffs, and saw a marijana joint behind Rocholz’s ear. The criminal complaint states that while Rocholz was being detained, deputies found drug paraphernalia on his person and initiated a probable cause search of the vehicle.
Court documents show that Rocholz had about 11 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, four grams of methamphetamine and marijuana, and prescription medication and other drug paraphernalia. Rocholz was charged three Class D Felonies for his third or subsequent offense for possession of a controlled substance violation, a serious misdemeanor for unlawful possession of prescription medication and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Dallas County Jail under a $16,300 bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
