Coach Tom Kennedy’s Paton-Churdan girls’ basketball team played in Glidden last night vs. Glidden-Ralston in Class 1A Regional first round action. The two Rolling Valley Activities Conference schools were playing for the third time this season with G-R winning all three, including 63-41 last night. The Wildcats advance to the next round while the Rockets end the season with a 4-18 record..

The home team led 16-7 after one quarter, 28-19 at halftime, and 47-27 after three quarters of play. Chloe Peters and Olivia Squibb each scored 13 points for G-R with 11 from Jenna Subbert.

Sisters Alivya Smith, a junior, and Edynn Smith, a freshman, each had 16 points for the Rockets. Ava Minnehan and Madison Roper are the only seniors on the P-C team.
