It’s the biggest meet of the season thus far for the Perry Bluejays wrestling team as Perry travels to Ballard today for the Class 2A District 1 meet. The Bluejay wrestlers look to battle for the podium, as only the top two in each weight class advance to the state championship next week.

For the Bluejays, freshmen Hayden Splendore continues to find success in the 106 pound weight class, as the freshman enters the district meet with a 33-7 record. Fellow freshmen Chris Tolle and Brady Welch have also found success in their rookie season, entering the tournament with 27-14 record for Tolle and a 26-16 record for Welch.

With only the top two of each weight class advancing to the state tournament, the Perry Bluejays look for glory today in Ballard at the Class 2A District 1 meet. The action is set to begin today at 10am.
