The President’s Day holiday is on Monday and several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.

Greene County offices in the courthouse, Greene County ISU Extension Office, Jefferson City Hall and the Jefferson Public Library are closed on Monday in observance of the holiday. Greene County Auditor Billie Jo Hoskins says the Clerk of Court and the court system is open on Monday, but the county offices are closed. 

Jefferson Library patrons are reminded that nothing is due to the library when it is a holiday. Jefferson residents are also reminded that garbage pickup will be delayed by one day, due to the holiday, but that the routes will return to normal the following week.
