The West Central Valley Girls Basketball Team begins the Class 2A Regional first round tonight, hosting Logan-Magnolia.

The Wildcats concluded the regular season with a record of 8-14 and represent the West Central Conference, while the Panthers are 2-20 on the season, out of the Western Iowa Conference. West Central Valley is led in scoring by junior Addilyn Richter, who averages 8.5 points per game on 28 percent shooting from the floor, and Logan-Magnolia is led by senior Allysen Johnsen, who sits at 14.4 points per contest on 22 percent shooting from the field.

The Wildcats ended the regular season with a 37-33 victory over Woodward-Granger, and the Panthers lost 55-38 against Underwood. This will be the first time West Central Valley and Logan-Magnolia match up versus one another. Tonight’s game is taking place from West Central Valley High School in Stuart, starting at 7pm.
