Adel-DeSoto-Minburn senior Leyton Gerleman has decided to continue his football career at Dordt University in Sioux Center after high school.

Gerleman primarily played at the wide receiver position for the Tigers, and helped lead ADM into the postseason again this year. Individually, Gerleman had 20 receptions on the season for 240 total yards and scored two touchdowns. He also had nine rushing carries for 120 yards and one touchdown. Gerleman had some opportunities on defense, where he had 35 solo tackles.

ADM concluded the 2025 season with a 9-2 overall record (5-0 inside district), and fell 45-7 to Xavier in the Class 4A Quarterfinal game on November 7th.
