Regional wrestling tournaments took place all over the state Saturday, and the schools in Guthrie County had teams participating.
The Panorama Panthers and West Central Valley Wildcats traveled to Ogden for their matches, while the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Chargers went to Colfax-Mingo. The Panthers advanced two individuals to the state tournament, with Austin Wagner winning the 144 weight class, and Blake Schwartz winning the 165 weight division. West Central Valley will have three athletes heading to the Casey Center, with Tyler Peugh taking second in the 113 weight class, Drew Teague winning the 126 weight division, and Tryce Dlouhy taking second in the 175 weight class.
AC/GC is sending six wrestlers for the third year in a row, with three having been to the tournament last year. Chase Slaybaugh took second in the 120 weight division, while Charlie Christensen won the 144 weight class. Ryder Cline took second in the 150 weight division, and Lane Stringer also took second in the 157 weight class. Carter Richter and Jack Sheeder both took second place in the 215 and 285 weight divisions respectively. A full list of results for all three teams can be found below.
