Adel-DeSoto-Minburn and Perry High Schools will be taking several student-athletes to the Iowa High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament, which starts tomorrow.

ADM saw four Tigers punch their ticket to state during the 3A District 8 State Qualifying Meet in Norwalk on Saturday. Paxton Sutter at 106 pounds, Grayson Sutter at 138 pounds and Ethan Johnson in the 150 pound weight division all captured first place. Henry Krug at 165 pounds also advanced to state after taking third place.

Perry saw two Bluejays punch their ticket during the Class 2A District 1 Meet at Ballard. Hayden Splendore and Townes Wilson each advanced to state after finishing second.

ADM represents Class 3A with the first round beginning tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines. Perry will compete in Class 2A, which will start on Thursday. Raccoon Valley Radio will provide live coverage of the four-day state tournament.
