Greene County High School is going to be represented again at this week’s Iowa High School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament.

This past Saturday’s District 8 qualifier, the Rams saw three wrestlers punch their tickets to the state tournament, including juniors Jaron Jacobs, Degan Miller and Brennan Jacobs. Jaron Jacobs won his weight class on Saturday at 120 pounds and has a record of 30 wins to nine losses and is in his second state appearance. Miller also won his weight class from the state qualifier on Saturday at 165 pounds and is entering the state tournament with a 27-9 overall record and in his third state meet. Brennan Jacobs also qualified for state by placing second at the district tournament at 106 pounds. He has an overall record of 33-4.

Class 2A wrestles on Thursday at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines. Raccoon Valley Radio will provide live coverage of each meet, and all other wrestlers that qualified in the area, throughout the four-day meet that starts tomorrow.
