Greene County has three State Wrestling Tournament qualifiers in Class 2A and they will take to the mats at Casey’s Arena in Des Moines on Thursday afternoon’s 2:30 p.m. session. The tournament actually begins today at 4 p.m. with Class 3A and continues at 9 a.m. Thursday with Class 1A.

All three Rams wrestling at State are juniors and two of them are twins. Brennan Jacobs is seeded eighth at 106 lbs. and Jaron Jacobs is the number 11 seed at 120 lbs. Degan Miller is the eight seed at 165 lbs. The top eight seeds receive first round byes and will wrestle later in the first session. This is the third trip to State in as many years of high school for Miller, who placed fifth at 165 last season. It’s State trip number for both of the Jacobs’s twins, who won matches, but did not place at State in 2025.
