The Stuart Public Library has something for the gardeners in the community and surrounding areas.
Librarian Rache Majerus says that on January 31st, they participated in a seed swap and giveaway from Nine Squared Feet, something that they’ve done over the past few years. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that something they’re excited about for this year is that there were plenty of seeds for the event, meaning that there are still some for those who would want them.
“We also want to remind the community that we have free vegetable seeds and they’re available in our seed library. The seeds were generously donated by Nine Square Feet following our annual seed swap at the end of January. You can stop in and pick up seeds while supplies last and start planting your spring garden.”
Majerus mentions that those interested can come into the library and pick up some seed packets during regular business hours, which are 9am to 6pm Monday and Wednesday, 9am to 5pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9am to noon on Saturday. She adds that these seeds are completely free, so there’s no need to worry about paying for them.
