Greene County High School saw its varsity boys bowling team make it to the state tournament.
The Rams team won the state qualifying meet in Class 1A on Monday in Carroll. They defeated last year’s Class 1A state champion Vinton-Shellsburg to move onto the state tournament, and Greene County also had two individuals qualify for state as well, with senior Teagan Chisholm, who placed second overall, and junior Chase Fecher, who was fourth individually.
The Iowa High School Athletic Association State Bowling Tournament takes place this coming Monday for the teams and the individuals will bowl on Tuesday at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo.
