Perry Bluejays wrestlers Hayden Splendore and Townes Wilson take the mat in Des Moines today during the 2026 Iowa High School Athletic Association Boys State Wrestling Championship with Class 2A set to begin at 2:30pm. Splendore will take the mat first in the 106 pound weight class with Wilson to follow in the 138 pound weight class.

Splendore and Wilson are both guaranteed two matches tomorrow at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines, and must win a match to remain alive and continue battling towards the podium. Splendore will be one of the first matches of the night with 106 pounds being the first weight class to wrestle.
