As the 2026 soccer season looms for Adel-DeSoto-Minburn, senior Bella Hulscher shares how the leadership from Head Coach Rachel Harada is helping ahead of her final high school stint.
Hulscher recently committed to Northwestern College in Orange City to continue her soccer career following high school graduation in the spring, and says her main focus this offseason has been on her footwork. She expresses that the Tigers’ bond is super close from freshmen all the way to seniors on the team.
ADM hired Rachel Harada last season as the head coach, where she took the Tigers to a 12-7-1 overall record, and into the state tournament eventually falling to Waverly-Shell Rock 3-1 in the Class 2A Semifinal Round. Hulscher reveals that Coach Harada really understands each players’ strengths and weaknesses.
“She never turns anyone down, and I love that so much about her. She knows individually what we need for coaching styles, but I also really love how she gives the seniors a little leeway to have the leadership that they need to lead the team.”
ADM will open with a scrimmage in Adel versus Johnston on March 27th, then the regular season opener will be on April 2nd at home against North Polk.
