Following the success of the 2025 Greene County Farmers Market at the new location of the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson, the manager is starting up the process already this year.

Jean Walker is the manager and she invites anyone who is interested in being a vendor at the 2026 Greene County Farmers Market to attend an informational meeting tomorrow at Clover Hall on the fairgrounds from 4-6pm. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they will review the changes to the state rules for farmers markets, as well as discussing starting the season earlier this year and expanding the hours to accommodate people that get off work at 6pm. 

Walker is excited for this year and to see returning vendors as well as new ones, as they averaged about 20 last year. She adds that if someone is interested in being a vendor but can’t make it to tomorrow’s meeting, they can contact her via email at kjwalkr@wccta.net or call her at 515-370-1905.
