There’s just a few days left to sign up for another popular program with the Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department.

Assistant Director Lyndsey Wathen says the Mother-Son Date Night is for pre-kindergarten through fifth grade boys and their moms or mother figures this coming Friday from 6:30-8pm at the Greene County Community Center. She goes over more details about the event.

“We’re doing a pizza dinner. We’ll have Breadeaux Pizza and then we’ll have chips, and fruit, and a selection of drinks. And then we’re going to play games like basketball, maybe we’ll do kick ball, kind of depending on what the boys wanted to do that night, but we’ve got a bunch of different game options.”  

Wathen states that the cost to attend is $20 per couple and $5 for each additional boy that must be registered in-person at the community center to receive the $5 additional fee. The deadline to sign up is Monday and you can contact the community center at 515-386-2134 or click here.
