The West Central Valley Boys Basketball Team traveled to Ida Grove on Friday for the Class 2A Region 7 Quarterfinal Round game, losing 63-31 to OABCIG as the 2025-26 season comes to a close.

It was the first time that the Wildcats and Falcons faced off against each other, and OABCIG stormed out to an early 22-1 lead after the first quarter. The Falcons garnered 19 more points in the second to take a commanding 41-7 advantage into halftime. West Central Valley scored their most points in the third quarter with 16, but still were behind 55-23 and would fall by a final mark of 63-31.

The Wildcats finish the season at 13-11 overall and did win their first regional game versus Panorama. OABCIG improves to 17-5 on the year and will go onto play Underwood on Tuesday.
