The Panorama Girls Basketball Team competed hard in Sloan on Friday, but came up short to Westwood 59-26 in the Class 2A Region 2 Semifinal Round.

A total of 13 points were scored in the first quarter, as the Rebels led slightly at 7-6. However, Westwood opened the game up in the second quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 22-7 to take a 29-13 advantage into halftime. The Rebels went on to tally 30 more points in the second half, holding Panorama to 13 to roll to a 59-26 victory.

The Panthers were led by freshman Ines Gimeno-Perez with 12 points, followed by senior Morgan Crees, who tallied nine points. Panorama will conclude the year with an 8-15 record, as the Rebels climb to 21-1 on the season, now facing Central Lyon in the Regional Championship on Wednesday.

Panorama did pick up a big win in the Regional First Round versus conference rival AC/GC 58-49 in Guthrie Center. The Panthers will lose three players to graduation in the spring with Lydia Lleshi, Peyton Walker, and Crees.
