Freshmen Kate Schuttler found her defensive groove in her freshmen campaign with the Jayettes basketball team, wrapping up her first varsity season with over 200 rebounds.

Earning her place on the starting five early, Schuttler played and started in every game for the Jayettes this season. In her 22 games, the freshmen finished second on the team in total rebounds with 205 rebounds just behind Lily Myers who led the team with 243. Schuttler averaged 9.3 rebounds per game and took many second chances away from her opponents with 123 defensive rebounds.

Schuttler looks to return for her sophomore campaign with the Jayettes next year, after an impressive rookie campaign with Perry.
