The Iowa high school State Wrestling Tournament wrapped up Saturday night without a Greene County Ram earning a top eight podium spot. Each of the three that qualified for Coach Zach Beekman won one or two matches at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines, but none had enough victories for a medal.

With one more high school wrestling season for all three, juniors Degan Miller (165 lbs.) and the Jacobs twins, Brennan (106) and Jaron (120) all ended this campaign on the verge of 100 career victories. Miller has 97 career wins with 95 for Brennan and 94 for Jaron.

There were no seniors on the Greene County team this season, but overall numbers are low, which was a contributing factor in the Rams’ 2-15 dual meet record.
