Those looking to get out of the house can join the Dallas County Conservation Board for an outdoor hike on Friday.

Outreach Coordinator Jeni Baker says Shake Your Winter Blues will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. She invites community members to come explore the outdoors by hiking the diverse habitats at Voas Nature Area with a naturalist. 

While the program is free, Baker says it’s important to sign up through DCCB’s Eventbrite page so the naturalists can plan accordingly. She adds that spots filled up quickly for the conservation board’s previous outdoor hike and she encourages residents to sign up for Friday’s program early.
