
The Perry Bluejays basketball season came to a close last night as the Bluejays fought until the end against the Carroll Tigers falling 77-43. Gustavo Drahos and Nile McClintock lead the team in points with both scoring in the double digits.
The Tigers took the lead early in the first quarter and never let off the gas, scoring 11 unanswered points against the Bluejays. Perry began to battle back, scoring 19 points in the first half with multiple Bluejay threes including two from Drahos, one from McClintock, Reid Iben and Luke Adair. In the final quarter, the three ball continued to fall for Perry, with Drahos sinking two more threes ending the night with 18 points with 12 from three point range, and McClintock with one more for six out of his 10 points scored from beyond the arch.
Perry wraps up their season at 3-20 with four seniors wearing the uniform for one final time: Gustavo Drahos, Jacobo Cerna-Gomez, Nile McClintock, and Carlos Martinez.
